Snowmaking System Operator
Kissing Bridge is seeking individuals to operate, monitor, and control the snowmaking systems. This role may include hours outside of the operational season performing mechanical and electrical industrial maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Pre-season preparation (brush cutting, snow gun and pipeline installation and snow gun setup)
- Safe and efficient operation of snowmaking equipment to produce quality snow
- Complete maintenance on snowmaking equipment
- Manually and remotely control and monitor pumping and compressed air systems
- Relay information to the on-hill staff
- Log and track running equipment, ensure proper operation output
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the control room
- Perform basic maintenance and repairs, report issues to management
- Additional duties as assigned
Snowmaking systems include but are not limited to: local and remote high pressure pumping stations, local high volume compressor system, and multiple computer platforms for automated snowmaking systems.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, or equivalent, required
- Must be 18+ years of age
- Valid driver's license required
- Must possess general mechanical skills and knowledge
- Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of inclement weather
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and overnight shifts
- Computer literate
- Previous snowmaking experience preferred
- Previous experience operating snowmobiles preferred
